It offers a relaxed, multi-sensory and flexible alternative to counselling. it can support individuals who may feel uncomfortable in a confronting face-to-face environment. This approach can create of sense of freedom that reduces anxiety, where clients can feel safe to express difficult emotions. It also encourages a client to be more physically active. As emotions are emotions in motion, movement invokes a client to create a deeper way of thinking where clients can become unstuck.
