i approached salayeh as i was specfically looking for a therapist who was open minded and non-judgemental of what i was experiencing in my life. salayeh was able to hold space for my partner and i to address what was needed and to start communicating our needs better. she was authentic and approachable and i felt that i could say anything and not feel uncomfortable with it. i am confident in recomending her as a therapist to support you on your journey.

my journey…

Salayeh’s journey was not built only through qualifications or professional training — it was forged through lived experience, survival, healing, and more than 25 years of deep personal development and transformational work. After experiencing multiple traumas, the path led her to become a Clinical Trauma Therapist, Creative Arts, Somatic and Expressive Therapist, Individual and Couples Sex-Therapy-Informed Practitioner, Counsellor, Executive Coach, Social Worker, and Experiential Therapist. She is also currently studying a Master’s in Modern Day Slavery and Sex Trafficking, deepening her commitment to trauma recovery, systemic change, and survivor rehabilitation.
Her work integrates both clinical and alternative approaches to healing, drawing from extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, CBT, ACT, Somatics, Polyvagal Theory, nervous system regulation, inner child healing, shame recovery, attachment work, sexuality, trauma-informed practice, and many other transformational and experiential modalities. She is also trained as a Somatic Polyvagal Recovery Specialist and Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Practitioner, bringing a deep understanding of coercive control, relational trauma, emotional abuse, and the long-term impacts of survival-based adaptation.
Alongside her private practice and transformational work, Salayeh also works as a First Responder Crisis Counsellor supporting individuals experiencing domestic and family violence, sexual violence, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, trauma, suicidality, and crisis-related distress. This work places her directly on the frontlines of trauma support, where she witnesses both the devastating impacts of abuse and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.
Salayeh founded HeartArise from a much larger vision: to build creative rehabilitation, trauma recovery, and sexual empowerment centres that challenge the shame, silence, and secrecy surrounding trauma, sexuality, abuse, and pleasure. Her long-term mission is to support survivors of sexual trauma, domestic violence, coercive abuse, and sex trafficking in reclaiming safety, dignity, healing, purpose, and power — while helping transform the systems and narratives that have kept so many people trapped in survival.

I CARE DEEPLY…

We all need help, and sometimes you need help getting out of your own way in order to see a new way..

Hi Tribe, I feel the most important thing you need to know about me is that I care deeply about people, I know from personal experience that sometimes we need help getting out of our own way in order to see a new way. Asking is one of the biggest challenges to personal freedom. We all need help at some time and it is a knock-on effect. When we help ourselves, we open the possibility for another person to help themselves. Your energy, your voice, your smile, your laugh, your resilience, you expression, your pain, gives another person the permission to ask for help so they can reach their full potential.

My Why…

These two beautiful souls are Kyan and Shahra They are my why? My life experiences before them, carrying and parenting them and observing them reflect a part in all of us - The teacher, The leader, The protector, The inner child, embracing vulnerability, to override shame and guilt from painful and challenging life experiences. Learning to develop intimacy and build trust, which is needed for embodied relationships. The wealth I create, the kindness and compassion I want to omit, the imagination, expression, innocence, and creative resilience I embody,  The place of forgiveness and acceptance I experience, even when I am at my worst. To feel like I belong, and my desire to inspire and make the world a better place. The love I feel keeps me focused on the type of legacy I want to leave—the desire for inner peace to experience personal freedom. So, in a nutshell, this is my life’s work, this is what I do…
